Default Switching Headgears

Obviously, people switch head gears in order to gain a boost from a certain attribute for skills on their bar. I was curious how most people do this, and if it's annoying to them not being able to hot key armor.

I think its mainly depending on the build more than the skill exactly. As i monk i have a headpeiece with for each attribute which i just wear dependin on which armor set.
i have a healing set, protection set, all around set and smiting set.
monks probably not brilliant example as runes dont make much difference

When GW was in beta there was the ability to hotswitch armor (armor and weaponset); however, naked bow wammo's were not a pretty site, and the functionality was removed. After release the ability to switch armor in PvP was removed from the game. Not sure if there is a strong reason these days to armor switch PvE.

I use it on my Paragon a lot for [[Aggressive Refrain] or other refrains. Just put on the Superior helm, refrain, and it renews at the raised attribute level after you swap headgear. There are also maintained enchantments and farming. I don't really swap headgears for builds apart from those examples of a single use skill.

edit: I guess if there was a hotkey system, you could potentially swap superior helms for your skills and swap down to minor if under fire, but that seems like a gimmicky game mechanic to me.

I usually keep my headpieces on the bottom row of the first inventory tab on each character so it's fairly easy to double click on the one I need.
Having an armor set like the 4 weapon sets would make things easier for some I suppose.
